My third ever class of judo, my shoulder got messed up (just from drilling, this wasn't even randori). That kept me off the mats for about 4 or 5 months, by which time I'd given up on judo and picked up BJJ instead. Every time I do takedowns (EVERY time), I pick up some minor knock.
